Quitting isn't usually as explosive as the movies make it seem. It's not usually just someone at their wits end completely losing it and leaving all the burned bridges in their path. Usually, people planning on quitting try to take the high road and will put in a two week's notice and try to wrap things up so there are no loose ends after they leave, etc. etc. That is totally out of professionalism and not because you have to.

But sometimes, it really is that abrupt. When you are working for someone who doesn't show you professionalism and is all weird power plays and disrespect, then you understandable should just quit and walk right out. Maybe even leave a thorough list on exactly why you were brought to your wits end for everyone in the company to see?

That is exactly what happened to this woman who was working as the director of communications and strategic partnerships for a non-profit. Her manager was chaotic evil from day one. She worked there for two months and was doing a great job with the company, but the manager was not happy with her. She treated her more as a threat rather than a colleague and was constantly trying to throw her under the bus.

The manager pushed her so hard, that the woman accepted a job somewhere else. She was going to give her a 2 week's notice, but during the meeting the incompetent manager just started ripping her apart for no reason. So, instead, she decided to quit on the spot and handed her the list of everything the manager did wrong. She also is sending that list to the board, so don't worry about the manager just tossing it aside—it will haunt her.
